Spiritual Development

Our Christ-centered curriculum encourages children to grow in their relationship in faith and life with God. At CLLC, spiritual development is more than just a daily devotion/Bible story time–it is an integral part of each day.

Social Development

CLLC recognizes the importance of the social component in the development of children and endeavors through guidance and role modeling to build an awareness and sensitivity of others around him/her, teach appropriate responses to diverse situations, and encourage the understanding of the gives and takes of friendships.

Emotional Development

At this young age, children may have difficulty in verbally identifying their emotions and appropriately acting on them.  It is our responsibility to teach each child about their emotions, labeling emotions, and encouraging self-discipline through choice, responsibilities and consequences.

Cognitive Development

CLLC envelopes all the different areas of academic readiness using the child directed-teacher guided method. By including each child’s interest into the curriculum we create an excitement for learning, which carries over into their future academic career in years to come and promotes academic excellence.

Physical Development

Both fine and large motor skills build self-confidence and cognitive growth in children. Activities in both areas of physical development are provided and encouraged. The self-confidence gained by learning muscle control and coordination leads to self-independence in caring for themselves and contributes to their cognitive development.
